Mocana announces embedded IPsec/IKE solution that fully supports hardware acceleration

announced general availability of Embedded IPsec/IKE, a small footprint, high performance solution to securing networked devices that fully leverages hardware acceleration. Mocanas Embedded IPsec/IKE satisfies a large, unaddressed market need. Like the rest of our Embedded Security Suite, we built this solution in response to customers who told us that existing products were difficult to integrate and use, lacked in performance and didnt give them the flexibility to secure network devices with varying levels of memory capacity, said Adrian Turner, Mocana Chief Executive Officer.

Most existing IPsec products are based on open source code and are synchronous. Mocanas Embedded IPsec/IKE implementation is unique, in that it delivers a much smaller footprint and an asynchronous architecture that speeds communication and cuts latency. The result is that Mocanas product can fully leverage hardware acceleration.
