Mocana welcomes former Nortel Networks VP and Enterprise Networking Veteran to advisory board

James Reeves to Advise Company on Secure Networking
for Service Provider, Carrier and Enterprise Markets

MENLO PARK, CA February 8, 2005 Mocana Corporation , developer of low-latency security solutions for voice, video and data networks, today announced that James Reeves, a secure networking expert and former Vice President of Engineering at Nortel Networks, has joined Mocana's advisory board. Reeves will advise Mocana on the development of high-performance, secure networking products for service providers, carriers and the enterprise.

Reeves is a network-industry veteran with over 20 years of technical and managerial experience in engineering. He is currently Vice President of Engineering with Trapeze Networks. Prior to this Reeves was Vice President of Engineering for enterprise security and routing products at Nortel Networks, where he led the development of high-performance multiprotocol routers, network security software and appliances, wireless LANs and content caching products. He began his career at AMD as a senior field applications engineer and then continued on to SynOptics Communications, which became Bay Networks and later Nortel Networks. He holds a BSEE technology degree from Cogswell Polytechnical College in San Francisco.
