MOCANA WINS 2008 RED HERRING 100 AWARD
Award Recognizes the 100 "Most Promising" Private Companies Driving the Future of Technology
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – May 16, 2008 – Mocana, a software company that delivers comprehensive security solutions tailored for non-PC devices that attach to the network, today announced that it has been selected by Red Herring Magazine as one of the “Top 100” privately-held technology companies in North America. Mocana shares this award with prestigious “Top 100” alumni that include Google, eBay and Skype, who were also named to the Red Herring list during their early developmental stages.
Red Herring's editorial staff surveyed the entrepreneurial scene throughout North America and from over 800 candidates selected the top 100 companies that are leading the next wave of innovation. Companies were chosen based on quantitative and qualitative criteria such as financial data, quality of management, execution of strategy and dedication to research and development.
