Addition Accelerates Mocana’s Expansion Globally
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – September 15, 2008 – Mocana, a software company that delivers comprehensive embedded security solutions for non-PC devices attached to the network, today announced it has named Matt Elson as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. With more than 18 years of sales experience, Elson is charged with expanding Mocana’s global presence, while accelerating its sales growth and business development for device security.
Mr. Elson comes to Mocana from Cenzic, Inc., a provider of application security vulnerability assessment and risk management solutions, where he was the Vice President of sales and services. While there, he built the company’s enterprise sales team, re-engineered and automated its sales processes, and tripled the company’s quarterly bookings from prior quarters.

Throughout his career, Elson has successfully built global sales teams that consistently exceed revenue goals resulting in company acquisitions or increased market valuations. Elson began his career in enterprise software by managing the financial services vertical for BEA Systems during its early stages of venture capital funding, a vertical which grew to more than $200M for the $1 billion enterprise software company during his tenure.
