Chinese Android Malware Could Cost Users Money

Android users on China Mobile’s Mobile Market may find unexpected high phone bills due to new malware lurking in Android apps.

According to TrustGo, the malware MMarketPay.A makes orders for paid apps automatically on a compromised mobile device. The company estimates that 10,000 devices have been infected as a result of compromised apps downloaded from at least 9 mobile app markets based in China.

iBahn Denies Chinese Hack

A provider of hotel internet services worldwide denies it was a victim of hacking after being named in an article on Chinese hacking. iBahn, which provides 3,000 hotels with Internet services, said in a statement to PCWorld the company had "not found proof of any breach on the iBahn network."
