In a rebroadcast of this February 15, 2013 Deviceline Radio show host Robert Vamosi speaks with Appthority’s president and co-founder Domingo Guerra about his company’s App reputation tools.

Guerra said companies are often fearful of apps simply because they don’t always know what’s going on. My guest today is Joe Weiss, Managing partner at Applied Control Solutions. He is perhaps best known for his work with securing electrical utilities and his testimony on Capital Hill on the danger in not addressing various vulnerabilities facing that industry today. DeviceLine Radio: Joe Schumacher On The Security Of The Mobile Cloud Ecosystem

My guest today is Joe Schumacher, security consultant at Neohapsis, a company with strong focus on mobile and cloud security. Second to cloud computing, which has long been the buzz among enterprises, is enterprise mobility. And the two are related. For example Schumacher says that many Fortune 500 employees are using Dropbox, but many Fortune 500 companies don't know that. That's a case where mobile and cloud converge—so who's handling the security there? We also talk about mobile threats, and what's really being seen out there as opposed to what's theoretical.
