Apple Wins In Court Against HTC (And Android)

In court on Monday, Apple scored a victory in patent lawsuit against HTC, and, by extension, Google Android. A court ruled that HTC had violated at least two claims within a patent filed by Apple that turns phone numbers and addresses into actionable links. HTC says it is working on a workaround.

Samsung leads in Smartphone Growth

According to IDC, in its Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Samsung shipped 2.4 million units in the first quarter of 2010, and 10.8 million in the first quarter of 2011. That's a 350 percent increase over the previous year.
