Reuters is reporting that Huawei, a Chinese-based hardware company, is working with one of the security researchers who found fault with the company's routers, among other products.
To allay security fears, Huawei is offering its source code for inspection.
At last week's Hack In The Box Malaysia, Felix "FX" Lindner, Head of Recurity Labs, demonstrated attacks on various popular Huawei routers by finding no new vulnerabilities but rather expanding on existing, older unpatched vulnerabilities.
At least one mobile device manufacturer is looking to expand its market share by manufacturing the chips that go inside as well.
