New User Privacy Concerns for iPhones, iPads

As recently reported on The Register, a new report from Eric Smith at Pennsylvania's Bucknell University looks at privacy concerns in Apple's iOS -- used by their iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices. The concerns are centered around Apple's Unique Device Identifier ("UDID"), a serial number present on these devices that can be collected by installed apps.
