Forty four percent of the Android users are still on Gingerbread, a version of the mobile operating system first released almost three years.

New numbers from Android Developer show that only 16% of the users are running Jelly Bean, Android versions 4.1 and 4.2. The report continues to show a wide fragmentation of the Android market as seen by Android users who visited Google Play for a fourteen day period ending March 4.
