Moore's Law Advances Threatened

Moore’s Law (which says that the number of transistors on a chip will double every year) appears to be threatened by a hic-cup in implementing the next-generation extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV)

EUV requires intense light sources, and according to lithography experts hope to have the new 200W EUV light sources by 2014 ... but that could still be delayed. Light sources have improved 20-fold in three years, but are reaching a similar technical barrier in light technology.
