Pentagon Adds New Cybersecurity Teams

The Pentagon will create up to 13 offensive cybersecurity teams by the end of 2015, General Keith Alexander told Congress on Tuesday

As both the director of the National Security Agency and as head of the fledgling Cyber Command, Alexander warned that budget cuts could undermine this goal. He also supported President Obama's Executive Order and asked Congress to pass legislation encouraging the sharing of data between government and private business. Of most concern is the financial sector, with the critical systems used in energy a close second.
