Android's Andy Rubin Steps Aside At Google

Andy Rubin, the man who sold the Android mobile OS to Google in 2005, is stepping aside but not leaving Google.

According to the Reuters news service, Rubin, who has been evangelizing Android for the last half a dozen years, will take on other large projects at the company. In recent months, Android has zoomed ahead of iOS on mobile handsets and is expected to surpass Apple's iPad in the tablet market by the end of the year.
