That Android app might tell you what permissions it needs before it is installed, but what will it really do under the hood? Appthority is a company that uses static and dynamic analysis to show what a given app does within the mobile environment. This week Deviceline host Robert Vamosi speaks with Appthority’s president and co-founder Domingo Guerra about his company’s App reputation tools.
Guerra said companies are often fearful of apps simply because they don’t always know what’s going on. Guerra also said his company works with developers who want to improve the security model of their apps.
